Ozone Zipline Adventures to Open in Warren County
|
|
By: Zack Duncan
The largest zipline attraction in the Midwest is opening in Warren County at the YMCA Camp Kern. The Ozone Zipline Adventures is a 10,000 feet zipline ride through the treetops and canopies of the Little Miami River. Riders will soar 175 feet in the air on as many as 12 different ziplines.
Participants will enjoy a 2 1/2 to 3 hour ride on the ziplines that stretch through the ravines, hills, and canopy treetops of the Little Miami River area. Riders are guided by a trained zipline professional who will talk to you about the history of the area as well as share facts on nature, land, ecology, fossils and even the basic physics of how the zipline works at each exchange point along the ride.
The Ozone Zipline Adventure has 7 sky bridges as well as 45 foot tall, multi-platform central zipline tower that acts as a hub for all the ziplines. The zipline is a part of the YMCA's Camp Kern and proceeds from the tour go to help subsidize some of Camp Kern's programs for schools whose outdoor education experience has been jeopardized by budget constraints.
There are some rules and restrictions on the zipline. Riders must be at least 10 years old, weigh at least 70 pounds and can not way more than 270 pounds. Riders under 18 must have a parent or guardian's signature to ride and riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian as well. Tours for the Ozone Zipline Adventure will be open in April and will stay open through December. It is open 7 days a week with prices costing $75 per person with special rates for children and groups.
You can book a tour online or by calling and reservations are highly recommended. The Midwest's largest zipline adventure is sure to be a fun and educational time that anyone, regardless of age, can enjoy. What could be one of the summer's most exciting attractions is definitely a new take on summer fun. Visit the Ozone Zipline Adventures website for all the details and to book your own zipline adventure.
