We need your votes!....Vote for "THE 3RD ALARM" http://www.fdic.com/index/battle-of-the-bands-2010.htmlFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Local band vies for chance at $20,000 “The 3rd Alarm” features city Firefighters Middletown, Ohio – January 5, 2011 – A chance to play for thousands at Lucas Oil Stadium (The Indianapolis Colt’s new house) and a shot at big money, has lured 25 bands from around the country to compete in a battle of the bands. The twist? The event sponsored by Penwell Corp., is only open to bands containing at least one active duty Firefighter. The matchup will be held in Indy during the annual Fire Dept. Instructors Conference (FDIC) which draws thousands of Firefighters and EMT personnel every year in March. City of Middletown Firefighters, David Adams (Vocals/Guitar) and Brian Fultz (Vocals/Bass) from the band “The 3rd Alarm” recently shot a video of their song “Promise to Stay” along with band mates Scott Wright (Vocals/Guitar) and Bob Mack (Drums). The group entered their music video for a chance at national exposure and the $20,000 cash prize. Adams explains, “The process is pretty straightforward with online voting through the month of January”. “The top three vote getters play live in Indianapolis for the cash as well as bragging rights”. Adams and Fultz (both Firefighter/Paramedics) formed “The 3rd Alarm” and have spent the past few months recording original music in the studio. Fultz says, “We hope the community gets behind us and sends “The 3rd Alarm” to Indy to represent Southwest Ohio”. To view the video and vote for “The 3rd Alarm” visit www.FDIC.com and follow the link to the band voting page. Voting continues through the month of January with the big show happening March 25th. “It would be quite a thrill to play the stadium in front of a huge crowd, kind of like the adrenaline rush of firefighting!” said Adams.
