Respect Our City Leaders, They've earned It...NOT!

   The people do have a right to question you Mr.Marconi. We do have a right to speak our minds and voice our opinions. We all know that you read this blog, hell you have posted comments here. It has also been posted that members of city hall don’t want to come here and talk because of the way some bloggers speak to you. Well maybe we don’t like the way you speak to us at city council meetings. Does it stop you from doing it....? NO it does not. The Mayor spoke to Mrs. Bronson in a rude and disrespectable way at citizens comments http://www.middletownusa.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1861  

Was that ok? It must have been, I didn’t hear anyone on council stand up for her to say it was wrong, but you want us, the members of this blog and citizens of Middletown to treat you with respect. Respect is earned, not handed out because you own a business Mr. Armbruster, its earned, not handed out because you no longer own property downtown Mr. Marconi, its earned not handed out because you have served 4 useless years as council. You want to earn some respect?Then some one be a man come here and answer some of the tough questions people have. Stop hiding behind "we aren’t set up to answer questions at this time." When is the time we can ask you a question and you’ll be set to answer? 

You and Armbruster keep talking about how business friendly this town is, that sir is a flat out lie and you know it. I know MANY small business owners in Middletown that say different. You would to if you got out there and walked around and asked them. When was the last time you or Armbruster walked into a business downtown or in that area and asked how business was going and what can we (the city) do to help to make it better? 

Why I am picking on you Tony and Jim? Because you two are the only incumbents running, don’t worry, Mrs. Scott Jones and Mr. no show Becker will have their turn soon enough. 

Are you and Armbruster the cause for all of Middletown’s problems? Of course not, but you don’t seem to be doing anything to help fight the death of a once great city. If you and Jim are reelected, things will go right back to where they were before the campaign season began. No one will hear from you. There will be no more Town Hall meetings and Jim will go back to sitting in a daze as he always did. 

For all newcomers: welcome to Middletown, please meet our great City Council, I hope you didn’t come hear to open a business or find a job. But if you need a section 8 house we have you covered.
