Fantastic!!!! State of the art facilities. Great news for the people who supported this. Wow, test scores will go through the ceiling now folks! It will be Groundhog Day for the rest of us.
"Four years from now, the corner of North Breiel Boulevard and Manchester Road will look totally different and will be the hub for educational and community events, district officials said" Wonder when "district officials" gained any credibility here? Their comments in the past have gone bust in many instances when statements like this have been made. And I will go on record in 2015 with the statement.....in 2019, NOTHING will change as to academic progress in relation to the state scores improving, more indicators met nor the lower tier ranking of this school district. It will be business as usual in 2019 with promises made, "new, exciting learning programs introduced to help the student succeed" and another cookie-cutter super in charge spewing wonderful rhetoric toward the public as to "innovations being implemented all over the district". How sad that some believe this crap, especially when they have past information to evaluate. SSDD Some doubt? History...... some decades old and others more recent like the performance of the "new" elementary schools built with essentially the same results as the old schools and the always faithful low grades on the state tests we all have become accustomed to seeing. Just can't get too excited about this as I know it all won't matter when they get to the finish line......and a lot of money will have been spent achieving little value for the taxpayer's benefit as to educational progress, property value increases nor school district image and achievement. New buildings aren't the solution to academic success, but you just can't impart that idea to some who are in the fog. |

I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.
