LEGISLATION

1. Ordinance No. O2014-36, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing an amendment to a contract with Howell Contractors, Inc. for the repair of the North Interceptor Sewer and declaring an emergency.

 

2. Ordinance No. O2014-37, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing the purchase of in-car camera systems from OEM Micro Solutions. (2nd reading)

. Resolution No. R2014-25, a resolution to make adjustments to appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures of the City of Middletown, Counties of Butler and Warren, State of Ohio, for the period ending December 31, 2014. (General Fund, Auto & Gas Tax Fund and Water Fund) (2nd reading)

 

4. Ordinance No. O2014-38, an ordinance authorizing a contract between the City and the Windamere LLC for the sale of City owned property and declaring an emergency.

 

5. Ordinance No. O2014-39, an ordinance establishing a procedure for and authorizing a purchase of a used rescue truck by the City Purchasing Agent in 2014. (1st reading)

 

6. Ordinance No. O2014-40, an ordinance authorizing a collective bargaining agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police, Ohio Labor Council (Dispatchers) for the years January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2016. (1st reading)

 

7. Resolution No. R2014-26, a resolution declaring the necessity of repairing certain sidewalks and driveway aprons in the City of Middletown requiring that abutting property owners repair the same. (1st reading)

 Hmmm…At last night’s council meeting Mr. Picard questioned the Fire Departments need for another heavy duty pick up truck at a cost of $60,000 when they already had other trucks that he thought they could use.
Picard stated he was concerned over City Hall’s 2015 Budget.

However when the sale of the Bank One building for $140,000 came before City Council not one council person, not even Mr. Picard said a word about the repayment of the $50,000 of tax payers money that was used for the upgrades that were just completed to the Miami Research side of this building….another $50,000 just went down the drain.
