Looks like we're going to start bulldozing the parking garage soon. Swallen's is going to be an empty lot with grass and more greenspace. Hey, looks like we're going to have another "hole" in the downtown landscape. Looking at the pictures of the chunks of concrete falling from the garage, it looks like it is about time to come down. Don't get down there very often. Is the garage cordoned off as a safety hazard? City is liable for any chunks of concrete falling on someone aren't they? AND, as an extra bonus, Dave Duritsch says there will be a free, un-metered parking lot where the parking garage once stood! Well....alrighty then! Cars will be flocking to use that to shop the many amenities offered in this area! Can we expect more greenspace and parking lots as we continue to level what was once Middletown? I wonder what kind of timeframe Mr. Robinette is looking at for the re-development of all this greenspace they are creating? How about it Mr. Robinette......10 years?......20 years? before we see anything occupy these open lots you folks are creating? Bet they stay vacant for more than 30 years.

Vet - The entire old downtown will be one big park someday. As soon as they are ready and get the new city building built out by I-75 the old city building location will be the new lake. Fishing, boating, swimming all the luxuries !! WHen the new train station is built people will flock by the thousands to the city, from the RR tracks going west will all be green grass & tall trees ! When people step off the train they will be awed by the beauty before them. Some will even think they have died and Middeltown is heaven.
