   You know no one wants to see the Cabinet Shop leave but I too get tired of these convoluted deals that go on basically behind closed doors and then get voted on by Council with few if any questions, especially by the Old standby crowd.  The cabinet Shop owners little talk last night was all fine and well and him not wanting to be in debt great for him, but why should my and your tax dollars go to keep him from paying moving expenses and even Capital gains taxes on his property.  Those are his business expenses and not my expenses which should be paid by our tax dollars. 

This has nothing to do with how nice his cabinets are, how great his little shop is or anything else.  This is about spending money that the city doesn't have and we as citizens shouldn't have to spend.  Once again I'll go back to the pool situation.  Can't have a pool because we can't afford it, can't repair the pool because we can't afford it.  It is always the same story when it comes to the everyday citizen and what they may want their tax dollars spent on.....we can't afford it, is the mantra that we also hear from the city and then a deal like this comes up.

Yeah, yeah I know it is HUD money or some triple top secret fund that the money came from and it can only be spent for this and that.  Personally I am tired of hearing that excuse also.
