The old Central Academy building has been upgraded to accomodate this ages 3-5 pre-school program. Money was spent to add air conditioning, playground equipment, landscaping, new electrics, a new kitchen, and a medical/dental/nutritional/health outreach center. Contributing partners were United Way, Butler County Health Consortium and Middletown City Schools. Questions- Did this facility need air conditioning? How much taxpayer money was used in the Middletown City Schools portion of the contribution? Do we need 110 staff members to run this operation when there are only 9 half day and full day classrooms and 1000 kids? Does this seem overstaffed to anyone? Doesn't this seem a little elaborate?
