Becker Can Speak

Maybe someone in the Becker Camp reads MUSA and passed along to the councilman my comments about his lack of participation at council meetings. Because lat night Becker spoke more than I have heard in all my meetings.

OK- now he's talkin' too much.

The first clip is the obligatory speech you make and the second clip was him getting fed up with all the issues wasting his time.  Nothing more than the usual for Becker.

C'mon Pac- Billy's got bigger fish to fry now. He's a big doggie now (a DIErector, don't cha know!) and doesn't really have time for Middletown business and problems. This pesky city business is "just a nuisance". He's "moving on up to the east side....to that DEEElux apartment in the sky" just like the Jefferson's did way back when..... Ohh Billy, we little people knew ye when you were one of us in town.

Vet the impression Becker leaves me with after every meeting is that this is a waste of his time. 

I always felt that Mr Becker's "Public Service" was more Resume building than anything else.

I will admit I don't know him and that is just an impression.

Too bad that city council doesn't use congressional rules.  Then, like congress, they could've cooked up the 1607 Central Ave deal behind closed doors, passed a "modification" with three "yes" votes", had Landen issue one of his famous "abstentions (Armbruster) count with the side I want them on" rulings, and then "deem" the ordinance passed!!!
