Wednesday, May 15, 2013 2:18:35 PM - Middletown Ohio

River Run 2013

The RGI River Run, which benefits Kicks For Kids (KFK), is a 5K run/walk that appeals to top runners, recreational athletes, and families. Please come join us for our 17th annual event on Saturday, May 25 and kick-off your Memorial Day weekend by getting fit and raising funds for local children who are challenged physically, mentally, or by the environment in which they live.

Register today at Kicks for Kids or call 859.331.8484 to sign up to be part of one of Greater Cincinnati’s Top 10 run/walks!

What’s Special about the RGI River Run?

  • Affordable entry fee -- receive “a lot for a little”; Registration fees are $16 adults; $10 for children ages 7-17; free for children 6 & under. Register online at Kicks for Kids
  • Offers a uniquely designed Brookes performance T-shirt
  • The scenic 5K course bridges Covington, Cincinnati, and Newport
  • Includes a parent/child team division and has a Special K for children with challenges
  • Includes a Children’s Fun Run; all of the participants are rewarded with a special prize
  • All youth runners/walkers receive a custom event medal for competing in the 5K or the Special K
  • Known for having fantastic Door Prize -- all participants are eligible
  • Registration and all of the post-race events occur at the Purple People Bridge in Newport
  • The races start as follows: Special K - 9:15 AM; 5K Run/Walk - 9:30 AM; Children’s Fun Run - 10:30 AM
  • Participation in the RGI River Run can occur through either raising money via the Pledge Program or by paying an entry fee; very nice incentives (including Reds & Bengals tickets and airline passes) are associated with the Pledge Program
  • Panera Bread will serve bagels to the finishers, First Watch will cook pancakes for all participants, Starbucks will provide coffee, and each entrant will received a “goodie bag” that includes product samples, free food certificates and a ticket good for free food and drink at the post-event party at Arnie’s on the Levee
  • The 2013 event -- the 17th annual -- takes place on Saturday, May 25th
