The Middletown Division of Fire (MDF): 24 Middletown Firefighters recently completed renewal training for their Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. The class taught by Atrium Medical Center’s Mike Jett included classroom and practical demonstration of the latest theory, application and procedures in the pharmacological and physical treatment of a patient in cardiac arrest and other potentially lethal arrhythmias. All the Division of Fire’s personnel receive this training every 3 years as part of their ongoing continuing education requirements. Other areas of emphasis in their 3-year training cycle include Trauma, Geriatrics and Pediatrics.

Middletown Division of Police On January 4th the Middletown Division of Police concluded the investigation into a Breaking and Entering that occurred at Rally’s Restaurant at 2115 N. Verity Parkway on 12-13-2011. During the crime, the culprits broke into the safe and took money.

Justin Burnett, white male (w/m) 24, of 2011 Oneka Ave.,Middletown OH, Steve Sexton, w/m/42, of 921 Wilshire Dr., Franklin OH, and Jeffery Smith, w/m/25, of 229 Maxwell St. Apt. B, Franklin OH, have all been charged with B&E and Safe Cracking. These individuals are also suspected of committing other crimes in the area. The MPD is working with surrounding agencies to clear other thefts these individuals may have been involved in and bring an end to their crime spree. Anyone with additional information about these individuals is encouraged to call Detective Lovejoy at 513-425-7713.
