MONROE CONCERT IN THE PARK TO FEATURE BENTWOOD ROCKERS
The annual Monroe Concert in the Park, sponsored by Monroe Business Council, a division of the Mid-Miami Valley Chamber of Commerce, will feature Bentwood Rockers, a classic rock band. Primary sponsor of the annual free concert is Time Warner Cable. The event will be held at the Monroe Community Park on June 3, 6-9 pm.
Monroe Sports Association, Monroe Historical Society, Optimist Club and Monroe High School Thespians will have food and desserts for sale.
Local talent will be showcased from 6-7 pm, with the Bentwood Rockers taking the outdoor stage from 7 to 9 pm. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a pleasant spring evening in the park.
The Bentwood Rockers have been entertaining Cincinnati area audiences since 1992. They have appeared with such famous entertainers as Johnny Rivers, The Turtles, Grand Funk Railroad, The Buckinghams and Three Dog Night. Members of the band, all veteran performers, have a collective music performance history of over 100 years. Calling themselves a “gutsy garage band,” they offer intricate vocal harmonies backed by their own musical arrangements of classic rock tunes.
