Middletown's 3 Tax Issues on the November Ballot

The schools have 2 tax issues and the city has one tax issue on the November 3rd ballot.

Here is the wording on each of these issues per the Butler County board of Elections.

13 - PROPOSED TAX LEVY (ADDITIONAL) - MIDDLETOWN CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Shall a levy be imposed by the Middletown City School District, Counties of Butler and Warren, Ohio, for the purpose of  PROVIDING FOR THE EMERGENCY REQUIREMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT in the sum of $1,500,000 per year, and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average one and sixty-six hundredths (1.66) mills for each one dollar of valuation,  which amounts to sixteen and six-tenths cents ($0.166) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of three (3) years, commencing in 2007, first due in calendar year 2008?

(Runs in 38 precincts also part Warren County)

14 - PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL) - MIDDLETOWN CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT

Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by Middletown City School District, Counties of Butler and Warren, Ohio, for the purpose of  PROVIDING FOR THE EMERGENCY REQUIREMENTS OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT, in the sum of $4,000,000 per year, and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average four and forty-two hundredths (4.42) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts forty-four and two tenths cents ($0.442) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a period of three (3) years, commencing in 2007, first due in calendar year 2008?

(Runs in 38 precincts also part Warren County)

18 - PROPOSED INCOME TAX - MIDDLETOWN CITY

Shall the Ordinance No. O2007-59, providing for an additional one-quarter of one percent (1/4%) levy on income on and after January 1, 2008 and until December 31, 2012, to be used solely for the operation of the Divisions of Police and Fire be passed?

(Runs in 37 precincts also part Warren County)
