Should the November elections pass without a 'yes' vote on the school levy renewal, Middletown schools will be making $100,000 in cuts to the communications budget which is currently set at $335,000 a year. Some of the things that would be lost include a department secretary, the district's website, and the district's telephone notification system.
The telephone notification system the district pays for is called cNotify. cNotify makes automatic calls to parents when inclement weather closes school or lets families know about upcoming events.
