Members of the Middletown Convention and Visitors Bureau last month elected officers to serve in the 2013 year. Re-elected for a fourth term was Linda Moorman, president, BeauVerre Riordan Studio. Joining her will be Doug Blazer, vice president, Data Recognition Corporation and community volunteer; Jeff Milbauer, treasurer, The Milbauer Law Firm and former Juvenile Court Magistrate, and Frances Sack, secretary/publicity, Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices.
New MCVB Board Members serving a three year term are: Kevin Long, Drury Inn & Suites and Matt Current, Butler County Bombers.
They will be joining other MCVB members: Melinda Armbruster, Armbruster Florist; Kent Bradshaw, Miami University Middletown Associate Professor; Rob Hoffman, Alpha Dog Records and Think Middletown Digital Magazine ; Maria Langendorf, Middletown Public Library; Marie Edwards, Middletown City Board liaison and Mark Hecquet, Executive Director, Butler County Visitors Bureau. Joe Mulligan, Middletown City Councilman, will serve as the CVB’s liaison to City Council.
Outgoing Board Members Dick Boyea, Reyton Inn and Dana Picard were thanked for community support and their 12+ years of service on the committee. .
Meetings dates for 2013 have been set and are as follows: February 21, (this is a special meeting), Mar 21, April TBD– Grant meeting; May 16, July 18; September 19; November 21. Some meetings will be held at area Middletown businesses that will be posted; otherwise all meetings will be held at the BeauVerre Riordan Studio on Central Avenue at 5:30 pm and are open to public.
