Downtown Jam for the Bash
Monday, June 3, 2013 11:39:50 AM - Middletown Ohio

By Greg Williams

The Downtown Eagles 528 will host the "Downtown Jam for the Bash" on June 12th and 26th to help raise funds for the Broad Street Bash.

Admission is free and the public is welcome. Live music starts at 9:00 PM featuring Rick House with his original 3 piece band and guest musicians from other top area bands. A full stage of instruments and equipment is setup to enable any guest performer to walk on stage and jam with Rick House and the band. Both professional and amateur performers are welcome to join the show.

The Downtown Eagles is located 3 blocks from the Broad Street Bash on the corner of First Avenue and Clinton Street. Free parking is available at our facility and guests already parked downtown might rather enjoy the short walk.

At the first "Downtown Jam for the Bash" event on May 29th Rick House was joined on stage by Ashley Baumgarten, lead singer with 13 Stares, one of the bands that will be performing at the Broad Street Bash. Also taking the stage to jam at the event were Ryan Goodpaster from the Train to Willoughby band and long time area rock and blues player Tim Crase. The band The Other Half, one of the area's hottest new groups, were featured as the special guest band of the evening. Performances included a wide variety of music from acoustic ballads to classic rock, dance, blues and country.

The Downtown Eagles 528 Music and Meeting Center offers a casual place to cool off indoors with room to accommodate up to 300 guests comfortably and large, clean restrooms. Food and drinks will be available at special prices and served at your table by our friendly staff. The event will include drawings and raffles for chances to win cash and prizes. The Eagles is a family friendly organization. Young adults and parents with children are welcome.

Funds raised at the "Downtown Jam for the Bash" events and substantial donations from the members of the Eagles 528 through their Charitable Giving Fund will be used to support the Broad Street Bash Cross Cultural Music Festival scheduled for this fall in September. The Downtown Eagles 528 raises and donates over $50,000 every year to organizations, causes and individuals in our community. The Eagles is a charitable organization where people from every walk of life go to have a good time for a good cause.
