City Manager Judith A. Gilleland Sworn In
Thursday, January 10, 2008 4:21:18 PM - Middletown Ohio
by Bill Rogers
January 8th, 2008 marks the first Middletown, Ohio City Council meeting of the year. There have been some changes in the status quo, with Larry Mulligan ascending to the position of Mayor and head of the council, and former Mayor David Schiavone resuming his position a ward-elected councilman. Former Vice Mayor Tony Marconi is replaced by Vice Mayor Jim Armbruster. Lalisa Lawrence, Laura Williams, and Chris Amburgey are replaced by Anita Scott-Jones, Bill Becker, and Leslie Ford.
Perhaps the most important changeup is the exodus of Interim City Manager Steve Husemann, and the entrance of his successor, Judith A. Gilleland. Formerly City Manger of Pickerington, Ohio, Gilleland is a Middletown-area native and proud to be returning back to the area where she grew up. Our new administrative head was sworn in by Judge Noah Powers at this January 8, 2008 City Council session.
