Around Middletown With Bill Becker

THANK YOU

I want to express my sincere appreciate to all who supported and voted for me in last week’s election. I am truly humbled by the overwhelming support this community has given me. Once again, for all of those who worked directly on my campaign, those who supported me financially or with a yard sign; THANK YOU!

I think most all will agree, this election was an extremely important election for our community both for schools and city government. And I think we sent a strong message this community wants leaders who believe in Middletown and are ready to work for Middletown-- building on our strengths and dealing with our problems.

I am looking forward to working with both the newly elected and the returning council members to move Middletown forward.

The work has already begun and the most pressing business at hand is to find and hire a City Manager who will embrace the challenges we have and get to work. As we all know, there is much to be done and the time to start is now.

I look forward to continuing to serve this wonderful city and if you have concerns or comments, please feel free to contact me. Phone 513-424-1612 or email CouncilmanBecker@sbcglobal.net

P.S. If I have missed a yard sign in your yard I apologize and ask that you  please remove and dispose of it.

Community Calendar to Continue

Since so many people have let us know that they’ve enjoyed getting the Middletown Community Calendar, we will develop a way to continue the service on a monthly basis.  Let us know if you would rather not receive the regular update emailing. And, if you know others who would like to be included, send us their email addresses.

Send information about your upcoming event so it can be added to the listings. We may also, expand the information about each listing in the future.  To be included, the event must be a Middletown event or a nearby event of general interest to Middletown citizens and be open to the public. Send the who, what, where, when, how much and a short description along with contact information – email, website and phone. Email information to Rmort@cinci.rr.com.

Light Up Middletown – November 23-December 31

For over a month, the Grandpa Gang has been  setting up the displays for Light Up Middletown in Smith Park. Andy Bolen, Bob Strassburger and Bill Dietz let me join their work crew this year. Come down any evening 5:30-9:30 – regardless of the weather, holidays included.  Jennifer and I will be volunteering in the Santa house a couple of weekends, too.
