Anyone have an idea why Mr. Wolf resigned from all of these boards? From what I know and have been told, he did a great job. Jagster

Wolf resigned because he is not a Middletown resident. Can't serve on the board he was on without being a resident.

There have been many who have served on various boards and committees that have not been Middletown residents. Mike McKoy comes to mind on the Golf committee a while back. He resides in Greycliff out on 122 past Fenwick. If you check the addresses on some of the boards, you find that there are some listed that are outside the city, or were the last time I checked them.
Wolf resigned after 26 years because he had other opportunities offered to him such as political advising and some of those opportunities may have a conflict of interest with the city, or so the letter states. He still will be the asst manager of the airport. |

Mr. Wolf is giving up his apartment in Middletown at the end of the month, according to him. We had just moved into this place from another Middletown address in the 1st ward in the past few weeks. I think he may give that up soon, according to a close friend of his. He does have a "close" former relative whom he spends a lot of time with and who does live out of town.

I have known Mr.Wolf since Roosevelt Jr.High, and have served with him on various boards and committees.
He has been a very involved and valuable public servant.
He has become an important voice for the citizen and businessman, and he will be seriously missed(especially on the Planning Commission).
I have also served with many individuals who did not reside within the city.
Take care Jack--c u around!

Correspondence On Emergency Budget Resolution
Betsy, On Tuesday night this regulation comes up as an emergency. Are these regarding levies that have been previously voted upon by the citizens and discussed publicly in council meetings? If so, when? 8. Resolution No. R2010-31, a resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the County Auditor and declaring an emergency. Thank you. Paul Nagy Legislation
Hello Paul, The legislation passed by council is required by Ohio Revised Code. The reason it was an emergency is because ORC requires a response back to the county by October 1st, and Butler county made a calculation error and didn’t send us the legislation until 1 week before the council meeting. All of the levies are from prior legislation and have been in effect for many years. Lastly, this is an estimated budget to insure that the City doesn’t over appropriate for the next fiscal year. The real budget resolution will be coming up for review in October. Hope all is well in your world Paul.
