Middletown's Judge Mark Wall heard over 24,000 cases last year, over twice the amount the Supreme Court recommends for a single judge. 

Based on his current caseload, yes, Judge Wall is way overbooked. 

Bill under review to end Mayor's Court in Ohio

Mayor's Court is the practice of having a mayor or council-appointed magistrate preside over misdemeanors, traffic violations, and other minor legal cases in small communities. The bill, currently in the House of Representatives, would remove all Mayor's Courts in Ohio -- including those in Trenton and Monroe. Should it pass it could mean a lot more legal cases being heard in Middletown, about 3,000 from Trenton alone.
