McKnight Gets Visit from Winthrop Coach

   The Cincinnati Enquirer reported that Middletown (Ohio) guard Geovonie McKnight will visit Winthrop this weekend, according to his high school coach.

The 6-foot-2 shooting guard averaged 19.9 points, six rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 steals per game for Middletown. He was a third-team all-state pick in Ohio.

The report said he had other offers from Miami (Ohio) and Toledo.

Winthrop could have as many as four spots to fill, based on what the previous class of recruits does.
