   Ohio State’s Jim Tressel suspended 2-games for NCAA violation

Ohio State University suspended Jim Tressel for two games and fined him $250,000 following the admission that the 58-year-old football coach knew of his players involvement in an NCAA violation.

The school-sanctioned suspension was announced Tuesday night following a report by Yahoo Sports that cited an unidentified source that said Tressel knew of his players transgressions in April and did not report it to the school or the NCAA.

Five players including star quarterback Terrelle Pryor were suspended five games this season following an investigation that found they sold jerseys and trophey’s in exchange for tattoos from a local tattoo parlor.
