Chicago lost their bid to land the Olympics 2016 will be held in Rio de Janeiro. With a cost of over allegedly $1 billion dollars what it cost Atlanta do you think hosting the Olympics is worth it ? Should Obama have kept his butt at home instead of spending $millions to go to Denmark on behalf of the U.S. ? |

Hermes...Obama should have kept his butt home and it could be worth it if they were held in Middletown .
Gee, all this stimulus money could have done it.
Just think....level downtown for the new Olympic Village!
Many venues already exist:
Great Miami for rowing, etc.
Sunset Pool for swimming events.
Hydraulic for practice laps. Talk about going GREEN!
Roosevelt track for running.
Smith Park for field events.
AK Pavillion for the awards ceremonies with it's new overflow parking!!!
Wow....New interstate to the east and water to the west.
And too many others to mention....
Our city officials, city manager, and council should have been sent to Denmark and when they were turned down, forced to stay. That would be money well spent!!!!
Vote in a new council in November for a start!!!
