Read the MJ earlier today about the gentleman that had been assaulted and went back just now and they have removed all of the comments that were made about that article. I saw nothing out of the ordinary about the comments. Some wondered if the Victim is white, but other than that not much there.
When a newspaper is censoring its web site and readers comments that says volumes about how much they can be trusted to report and tell the turth about anything period.

The American media can not be trusted at all Pacman. The MJ has become one of the worst newspapers I've seen in a while. I uderstand cut backs and all that due to the economy, but what the MJ has become is ridiculous.

Agree Hermes they have even turned off the comments on this article. Makes it look like they are trying to hide something.

Might be too abrasive with a discussion between 4 or 5 African-Americans allegedly attacking a 54 year old white guy. The Journal may be afraid of what would be posted as to being too inflammatory to the community. I just wonder how they would handle it if the situation would have been reversed???

I think we all know how things would have handled had the situation been reversed.

Bishop Pringle has been featured on this site no less than 3 times, here is my favorite link featuring a man with passion for his people:
Bishop Pringle addresses Middletown Council (video) If you have time, watch this video, it tells the true story of BP. |

The Journal is a sham. It does no real indepth reporting on the issues.
Take SunCoke for example, where is the interview with Jones, Piper, Boehner, Cates or any of the top politicians regarding SunCoke and the Monroe Lawsuit? None Where is the hard hitting investigative reporting on the falure of our schools and Dr. Price? none Where is the investigation on city finances showing that the city isn't cutting the budget as fast as revenues decline? none They go after the easy stories. Stories that are already widely reported so no pavement pounding is necessary. Like good ol Viv and her quest to improve the conditions of the cemetery. Heck, they never would have told that story if it didn't jump out and bit them in the butt. I think newspaper journalism is dead in this town. Thank GOD for posters to this site. Or else we all would be in the dark. Whose up for a city audit? |

I'm very surprised the police didn't escort the good Bishop out of the building. I guess thats one draconian step council never wants to make habit.

MIDDLETOWN JOURNAL PUBLISHES ONLY GOOD NEWS ABOUT LOCAL HUD-FUNDED PROGRAM - WHAT ABOUT THE REST OF THE NEWS THAT YOU FAIL TO REPORT??
MIDDLETOWN JOURNAL - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
‘Went above and beyond the call of duty’ I understand many times our government officials may get the blame for things outside of their control. In this case, I wish to express my appreciation for several leaders in the City of Middletown who I feel went above and beyond the call of duty. I have a client who participated in the City of Middletown’s First-Time Home Buyer Program. After several setbacks with the bank and other unforeseeable issues, we needed some special consideration. Kyle Fuchs and Skip Batten from the city’s Community Development Division were instrumental in helping with this process. As we neared the completion of the program, Doug Adkins, community revitalization director, and Judy Gilleland, city manager, got us the assistance needed to finish the project. As a result, the City of Middletown gained a new resident and one of the vacant homes in the city is now occupied with a great family. My sincerest thanks goes out to these leaders of the city who helped us accomplish these goals.
