At the beginning of tonight’s meeting Ms McGee spoke about the new Public Based Housing Project that the City will be building in the near future. I hope all of you listened very carefully to what she had to say on this subject.
Do you still believe that the City will be reducing the number of Section 8 vouchers in
Middletown within the next 12 months?

I’m having a problem with comments made tonight by Mr. Adkins
Report from Inspection Group – All properties passed.
Please remember that the Inspection Group stated that if an inspection appointment was missed the report showed the property as failed. We were told that this was the reason the failure rate on the report was so high.
So tonight Mr. Adkins is stating that all appointment were kept and all inspections were completed and passed. Hmmmm…
Well I believe Mr. Adkins made an error when he spoke tonight.
I know of several properties that did not pass inspections and also the property owners are upset with the Inspection Group because they are not returning phone calls.
It has been brought up several times on this blog that the real problems with CONSOC started after the City employed the Inspection Group to do the inspections of Section 8 properties. Their hand held magic computer program didn’t work at all.
Tonight City Council approved a contract with Nelson & Assoc to administer the Section 8 program with the Inspection Group doing all inspections.
We will see next January 2012 if Nelson & Assoc can administer this program for less money than CONSOC.
Will all the new software needed to make this a paperless system also be included in the cost of doing bsiness with Nelson & Assoc?
