Thanks Jonathan!
For some additional background on Kevin Macpherson. He is considered one of the nation's leading Plein Air (Plein Air means to paint outside--catching the light---like Claude Monet did) oil painters. "Reflections On A Pond" was last exhibited at the Pasadena Museum of Art in Pasadena California.
Kevin has also exhibited at the following museums:
The Haggin Museum, Stockton, CA Gilcrease Museum, Tulsa, OK Millicent Rogers Museum, Taos, NM Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County National Wildlife Museum, Jackson, WY Carnegie Art Museum, California Albuquerque Museum, Albuquerque, NM Arizona State Capitol, Phoenix, AZ Forbes Museum, New York City, NY
Kevin also participated in the Great American Painters exhibition held in 2004 at the Museum Center at Union Terminal. He has authored two instructional books that have sold over 75,000 copies and are still selling. He has authored approximately 75 feature articles for major art magazines like Southwest Art, The Artist's Magazine and International Artist.
Two of Kevin's paintings are currently on display at the Middletown Art Center--just to entice you to come back for more in May-June 2009. His book, Reflections On A Pond, which features the entire exhibition with 400 color reproductions, 260 pages with essays and commentary, is available at the Middletown Arts Center. This book tells of the journey Kevin experienced as he created "Reflections On A Pond".
This is quite an honor for Middletown to be hosting Kevin Macpherson. We hope you'll stop by to see this exhibit and support the center in it's efforts.
Thanks!
