Is it true that a group of Chinese business men bought Old Town apartments and Stephano's guest house to house and feed their visiting students?

It could very well be, I know in the Bay Area this happens all the time where people from China buys up homes just to hold them for their kids to go to school in the US, and for trips over here in the US. That is why it is so hard to get a houses in the Bay Area, that and a lot of them are paying Cash Only for these buildings.

Based on the way the town is being run, the dramatic drop in property values, the "attract low income" theme, the high rate of taxation in a city that is one of the least desirable to locate, and the poor reputation of the schools, I'm surprised ANYONE is buying property here. Let the Chinese buy property. Might be the only way to move real estate here. The properties will be used, hopefully maintained and property taxes will be collected.

Old Town was THE place to live in the 60's if you were a renter. Stephanos guest house is the old Armco Holiday house by MUM, right? Back in the day, that use to be used by some high rollers in Middletown. Now.....well.......

I'm so proud of my hometown and what it has become. Recall 'em all. Let's start over.

If you want to learn more about the students studying from China here at Miami University Middletown, please visit this link:

To answer the question, an apartment building was purchased by Quest Holdings, LLC to provide housing for the students.  Holiday House was also purchased by the company to provide food.  At least, this is my understanding.

It's just a couple of the building in Old Towne, not all of them.  See  my earlier post:
