Two days before graduation I found out that my daughter
would not be graduating with her class. She had failed Economics,
which is a required class. Even though I work in the high school, I was
never once contacted by a counselor or a teacher to let me know that
there was a problem. To me this indicates a lack of concern on the part
of the entire staff. If I had known in advance that there was a
problem it couldhave and would have been corrected. Now I must pay for
my daughter to attend summer school. While I do not blame anyone other
than my daughter for not making the grade,I feel this could have been
prevented with a little communication.

Although Amanda's test scores are low, the spirit in this school is wonderful! The kids do try and so does the staff. This year I believe that things WILL change there!

I would like to say that the staff at Creekview
Elementary create an atmosphere of learning for children. There is an
atmosphere of high level skill building that goes on throughout the
building as a whole. My children have gone to Creekview for their entire
elementary school careers and have enjoyed their teachers. They love
going to school everyday. I must say that I hate to see them leave and
go to middle school, but the years ahead of them were prepared with a
foundation at Creekview Elementary School.

This school is ridiculous. The students are not aloud to
talk during lunch if they do & barely get to a level they turn the
lights out. I personally have witnessed this first hand while eating
with my child. The principle has several control issues & is not
open minded when new ideals are suggested (unless its her ideal). She
compares her own children to the students. "My child has never missed
one day of school other than being checked out early one day and she is
now in high school". I'm sorry but last time I checked each child's
health, family and personal issues are different. And just because your
child has never missed one day does not make it the only right way.
There are students who are on the Honor Roll who have missed one or two
days due to a illness or emergency. I would NOT recommend this school to
anyone! Believe me if I could change schools for my children I would
& currently have my house up for sale for this very reason. Miss.
Marsh was kid friendly & by far a better principal. The students
fear Ms. Crook and I yet to hear one good thing about this school.

I love Mayfield! It is a wonderful school. They have
a lot of extra activities that my daughter really enjoys! The academic
program mixed with their attendance rates make Mayfield Elem. the number
1 school in the Middletown area! I am proud to send my daughter to
Mayfield!

I like this school because we get to connect with
the teachers and they help us with our personal and school lives. Some
of us like myself and my friends are actually interested in learning and
doing our best in school and the teachers understand and respect that.
But other students are just intersted in making a fool of themselves and
trying to be cool and we have to deal with that and that takes away
from our learning time. That's all Verity is recognized for. The bad
things that happen but we never get recognized for the good things that
we do. I think that's unfair.

This school has lets kids come to school with head
lice when they definitely know about it. Plus they have no bully
policies. They told us that they have a no tolerance bullying policy,
but when they are told about the problem, their solution is to just look
the other way. That's their policy. This school is the worst school
that I have ever seen. Some teachers teach the kids what they believe
in, for instance: The teacher caught one of the kids cussing and said
the only people who cuss is trailer trash. What happens to the kid(s)
that were in the room that live in a trailer park? Their self esteem
has gone out the window. Plus the principal is brand new and has no
idea what is going on. She says she'll get right to a problem but will
never follow up. Again, their solution to a problem is to look in the
other direction and forget about it. My kids had a bullying problem and
the principal didn't look into the problem until a month later, but
still did nothing to solve the solution. Overall this school is a poor
excuse for a learning center.

My daughter has been going to Rosedale for 3 years
and is now in the second grade. The relationship between teachers and
students are wonderful. My daughter had Mrs. Brandenburg and Mrs.
VanArsdale for Kindergarten, then had Mrs. VanArsdale again for 1st
grade. These 2 teachers are wonderful. I couldn't have asked for better
teachers for my daughter. The principal (Mrs. Gallagher) is extremely
involved and very receptive to the needs of our children. They also
have a great secretary (Mrs. Auvil). She is so great with the parents
and students. I cannot forget Mr. Smethers. He is the
janitor/maintenance man at Rosedale. The children love him. He knows
all the kids by name and greets each one with a warm smile daily. My
daughter and I love Rosedale. Thanks for being such an awesome school
with such high regards for a priceless education! Every school district
needs a school like this!

Rosa Parks School is one of the best schools in
Middletown. They are the only school in the area to receive all
passing grades on the state's new report card. Their test scores have
gone up double digit percentage points consistently over the past 4
years. All this can be verified through the Ohio State Report Card. It
is too bad that an upset individual would like to downplay all of the
staff & students' hard work over a personal issue. Keep up the good
work!!!

My kid is in third grade. She loves the school.
I like the way teachers have teamed together to teach kids, ensure
discipline by rewarding those who behave and learn very well and
discourage those with behavior. Keep it Ms Smith!

I believe Madison Township is very fortunate to have such
a wonderful school. Our acheivement scores are some of the highest in
the county, while our per pupil spending is one of the lowest. Our
special education department is one of the best anywhere. We have a
caring and supportive community that really gets involved in the
children's activities. It shows in the involvement of the students as
well. You will find a large number of the athletes that participate in
drama and music programs as well. The kids here really support each
other.

The school has some excellent teachers and some extremely poor
teachers and faculty, seems as if all faculty fall into one category or
another. The education overall is great and most of the faculty are
eager to help and communicate well with parents. The principle
leadership seems to care however many issues are left unresolved which I
feel compromise the safety of our students.
