Light up the Sky Festival
July 4th, 2013
Monroe Community Park

CITY OF MONROE LIGHTS UP THE SKY
Monroe’s “Light Up the Sky” Fourth of July Festival
will end in a bang with fireworks displays on July 4th at Monroe Community Park. 
Fireworks will begin at dark, with gates opening at noon on Thursday. Events are planned 
for the whole day, including a parade, rides and games for the kids. 
The schedule for the 4th of July events and bands is listed below.

12:00 Kid Games, Carnival Rides, Food and Craft Booths Open
1:00 Live Music by Corey Bush
2:00 Live Music by Josh Mack
3:00 Live Music by Detroit
4:00 Parade
4:30 Live Music By All The Above
5:15 Opening Ceremonies
7:00 Live Music By The Other Half
8:30 Live Music By H3K “The Rick House Band”
9:45 Light Up The Sky!

Multiple food vendors will be in on hand, allowing attendees a wide selection of food. Craft vendors will be airbrushing tatoos, face painting and many more fun activities for the whole family. The city will be hosting the 4th of July parade departing from downtown and ending with an opening ceremony at the park.
