How about a nightcap after the celebration party tomorrow eveing at PAC. Wake up and find Israel and Saudia Arabia given permission by wimp Obama to bomb the hell out of the nuclear reactors in Iran. No, just my imagination again....running away with me. No, save that for September of 2012, too far from the next election.

Praying your prediction will be wrong......but, just in case......

I would suggest we amend that to say.....

"the MUSA crowd goes down big tomorrow". "Inner circle supporters/friends of MMF, who comprise a small percentage of the population of Middletown speak, as the greater majority, who could change things, sit at home not bothering to get their lazy asses off the couch to make a positive change and the town goes further down the toilet with the continued inept leadership of MMF puppets".

I don't think you could get 20 tea party types in MIddletown (I am not one) with free dinner at O'Charley's.

Crowd? At 5:12 there are 56 looking at this site 4 are members.  Is anyone really going to loose sleep tonight other than the several who are running. The layers are thick and they start in D.C. Know matter what this site will be up and running Wens. morning when it's all over. Those that have the guts to run and hold a seat should get a pat on the back. We all have excuses just like we all have had sick relatives, or travel every week or we think we know the real story to all the issues in this town. People make the world go around well it spins on an axis which I've always considered the people who represent the male genitalia to be that axis, god knows we have a axis on this site.  Since some feel this site makes know difference I always wonder why so many "guests" look at the post, maybe to get a laugh or maybe they are a tad interested in another view point and like to see polite adults agree to disagree.  I raise my beer glass to those who have devoted their time and have put their families on hold to try and make Middletown a better place only 30 hours to go then it's over.

Well, even though I admit it has been an uphill struggle, and you make some good points, you have not been privy to some key elements of my campaign.

I have been working hard (within my physical limitations) these last several days, including reaching out to two large groups of a key First Ward demographic, and with quite a bit of success.

I assure everyone that a vote for me will not be a wasted vote, but I will need every last vote that I can muster!!!

If you have not yet done so, PLEASE get out and VOTE tomorrow…

And remember…YOU’LL LIKE MIKE FOR CITY COUNCIL!!!

Thank you, Ground Swat!!!

But let me make one correction: I, for one, will NOT be "losing any sleep" tonight!!!

I feel that I have maintained my integrity throughout the campaign, I am beholden to no one, and it is now out of my hands.

Win, lose, or draw, my life will go on...pretty much unchanged, except possibly for the location from where I watch the City Council meeting twice per month! Big%20smile

gs, this race isn't about making a showing, applauding the gladiator, it is the last chance before turning a car that goes 200 mph, to the teen that already has 20 speeding violations, and you are in the passenger seat.

Mike Presta ran a very restrained and dignified campaign. In fact, I don't recall even one negative comment made about his opponet, and for that matter, her him. Their snow ball is just a tad bigger in momentum, that is, with one, comes four.

Not only Issue 3, but also Issue 2 should work in my favor.

Many people might not see me as a “union” candidate, but older Building and Trades union members might recall that I have signed thousands of union paychecks, including on projects right here in Middletown at AK steel back in the ‘90s.  Business Agents and union members throughout Ohio (and the nation) would remember me as fair in all dealings.

Also, NO other candidate has the background that I do in either dealing with unions or in the understanding of the negotiation process.  I have even been involved in negotiating project agreements in DC with the General Presidents’ Committee of the International Building and Trades Council.  I doubt that anyone else in Middletown can say that, certainly no other candidate on this ballot can.

If union members want someone who understands their positions and who has a record of being willing to give them a FAIR shake, there is absolutely NO DOUBT where their votes should go.

The last chance? Most know my opinion of our leadership and the top dogs of our Admin. I don't always agree with them but the world isn't falling in because of Middletown. Several on this site work quite hard on the side lines with no pay because know matter what we're stuck here and we believe in participating. A break down of my post is IMO a waste of time. I have much more to say but would rather make a call, email or actual talk in person with those I have questions for. It was a simple post to let those who are running Thank you for stepping up. And let's get today over with before we start celebrating the MUSA ship going down, what a joke.

I keep pretty good company, Motown
Why the fascination and special mention?
I have been quiet lately.

The biggest losers, once again, we're the local citizens.
Primarily with the probable loss of our local health dept.
A serious negative change--you will see.

Otherwise-- business as usual.
I have little skin in this game now.

Hey Motown--aren't you the one who was calling me a liar over my facts concerning the Duncan Oil deal?
What do you have to say about that now?
Is the property now for sale?
If sold, who should receive the purchase price?
We're there any performance contingencies placed on that arrangement?
Another wasteful deal from ED and admin?
What do the Mulligan bros say about this one?

Realizing you are just trying to create a reaction, I will appease you 29 to make you feel all warm and fuzzy.

Actually, I believe spiderjohn and company have been fairly accurate with their comments as to the condition of and activities in this town. Don't understand your comment on "out of touch and clueless" when alot of the posts on this site are backed up by actual data supporting the comments. What I don't understand from people like you is, that we all see what is happening in this town. Some of us see a bigger impact than the newer residents because we remember the town when it was run properly and when it was a vibrant community, not the ghetto wasteland used by a select few who profit while the town is brought to it's knees and not caring about the people who live here.

No sir. You are the one who is "out of touch and clueless" because you are like the rest of the MMF scum (hell, you could be one of them)......you see things through rose-colored glasses and the illusion that all is well. You are a denier of the realization that this town is having the life sucked right out of it by a few people who need to leave town as a favor to all of us. All "ain't been well", bud, since the 70's around here. Where in the hell have you been?

Ah yes the little Duncan Oil deal. The numbers were all posted on this site for all to see and yet again the public voted for the same people that made this deal.
Do ya hear that sucking sound? That’s your tax money going down the drain…But what the heck they can add that little million dollar mistake to your water bill also

To understand them, the majority, the 75%,  then you must look back. You see present, the future, they see only the past, the way it was and is. In hard times, more listen to The Walton's, the 40 music, than New Age. There are no glasses for those caught in a time warp of the past. 180 degrees of separation. Accept it. There are no glasses which cure vision only of the past. They have memories which produce dreams, others have nightmares.

Don't forget that the meter is still running on the REAL COST of the Cincy State deal. The taxpayers have lost millions on this "Downtown Vision"
Have ya noticed that the mayor has had very little to say since his return from the East coast but it's toooo late to stop the deal now.

Don't flatter yourself 29. You're just entertainment in an argumentative fashion for me. The position you take in defending the city leaders is amusing (whether you're actually serious or not) You do serve a purpose in one respect in that you provide fodder for arguing. Arguing is a favorite past time of mine. Great stress reliever. Thanks.

I was disappointed in the low vote total for Mr. Moore.  I think he has some public admin expertise that could be helpful on council.  I don't know if he just isn't well known or was not able to finance a larger campaign.  Perhaps he can become more visible in the next couple years and run again.

Or be hired to replace Judy G.!

One of the better ideas I have heard. He'd certainly be more attentive to the citizens than Judy & Sammy!
