Volunteers needed for Great American Clean-Up
MIDDLETOWN — Volunteers will help the city with a little spring cleaning this weekend as part of the Great American Clean-up.
Keep Middletown Beautiful (KMB) will be sponsoring local efforts in connection with the national Great American Clean-Up event.
This November, the voters might want to take Mr. Michel's lead of "Keeping Middletown Beautiful" and do a little "cleanin' up" themselves concerning council. How 'bout cha voters, have you had enough of the Mulligan clan?

I hope the citizens of Middletown participate in the Great American Clean-up. We'll see come November whether we have another "clean-up" at city hall!

My Scouts participate in the Great American Clean-up every year, it is a great program. This year KMB will be HQ'ed at Sunset Park, which quite frankly needs a cleanup from all the trash left by inconsiderate patrons - especially around the basketball and volleyball courts - but my Scouts will be participating by cleaning up over at Douglass Park. Generally the HQ park gets all the individuals and families, our group is big enough to do a park on their own and we'd just be underfoot at the HQ park. If you don't want to clean at Sunset, go over and sign in with the KMB folks and get trash bags and gloves and let them know which park you're headed to.
And no, City Hall does not count as a park!
