From this week’s City Manager’s newsletter:

“…the Pendleton will have a soft opening on Friday, April 1,…”

For some reason, this date seems appropriate. Big%20smile

No sorry Mike that statement above is incorrect.

The PAC had a "soft opening" when Verdin decided to come to Middeltown and open an art center. He seen the "soft opening" from a long ways off.

Verdin still stuck at 5 vendors for his arts center? Wow, for the size of the mob that showed up at the council meeting that night in support of this, there sure hasn't been that much enthusiasm. I would have thought that all of these art's supporters would have told their arts buddies about this great deal and Verdin's center would have been packed by now. Think it will ever fill? I know I'm looking forward to the multi-colored car hoods bringing some class to the downtown.

April Fools Day huh? The only "April Fools" so far has been the taxpayer for allowing the 's at city hall to waste this much money on such nonsense with the risk of Verdin packing his bags and leaving- no harm, no foul. Field Of Dreams motto- "If you build it, they will come"-- change that to the city's motto- "if you buy it, will they come?" (as they cross their fingers and do a little prayin' after blowing millions) Yep, what we got here is a bunch of "riverboat gamblers" dinkin' with our money and losing most of the time.
