MIDDLETOWN — There will be quite a line forming for the holiday celebration in Middletown this Saturday — and that’s just the parade itself.
The parade, now marching into its fourth year, has a record high total of 51 units, ranging from Middletown High School’s football team, undefeated in the regular season, to Santa Claus.
The holiday kickoff festivities run from 2 to 7 p.m. Throughout that time will be a holiday Christmas market in the Governor’s Square Park area. From 2 to 4 p.m. there will be horse and buggy rides, sponsored by the Art Central Foundation and Digital Visuals, said Linda Moorman, one of the organizers of the event.
The parade is from 4 to 5 p.m. It will start from Broad Street near the Middletown Public Library and will continue to where Broad dead-ends into Donham Plaza
