Look at the press he got:

I have personally known John Rabenold for many years. On the economy, he knows how to think forward, and "out of the box". We have spoke many times on Michigans High Business Tax, failure to lure business, and to create a pleasant business atmoshere. Traits needed to attract and retain business. He also understands and recognizes the "Global Economy", successes and failures. He understands that small business and the Private sector creat jobs, not Government.

Voters,

By now, most folks should have already heard about Mr. Rabenolds spotty career.  Hes made a small fortune representing one of sleaziest industries in the country. Now, Im sure hes just trying to provide the best life he can for himself and his family, but you have to call to question a mans integrity when he is willing to be the spokesman for an seamy industry like Pay Day lending.

His old website as well as the first sentence of his first answer in THIS interview, are riddled with election law violations.  He says As a legislator, I am committed to improving the climate  You CANNOT use the title of an office in a manner that implies that you are the current office holder.  Its black and white.  Rabenold either does not understand state law, or does not care to adhere to it.  Either one should cause you to think twice about voting for him.

John Rabenold works for the Check 'n Go payday-lending company. As most people know, the payday lending industry is exploitative in the way it lends money to predominantly poor people at exorbitantly high interests rates (between 300% and 500% and, in some cases, higher!).
There is a movement to increase regulation of the payday lending industry in the state of Ohio. If Rabenold is elected, he will likely try to counter that legislation and further influence legislation to the advantage this insidious industry. The fox will be in the hen house, if you will.
Mr. Rabenold touts a pro-business, anti-tax, family oriented campaign platform. However, his connection to the payday lending industry gets little or no mention. Voters should pay attention to this candidate and his less obvious, self-serving agenda.
