10 Middie football players sign college letters of intent
Contributed By Sue Kiesewetter | Enquirer contributor

Ten Middletown High School football players are headed to seven colleges to play football – the highest number from any Greater Miami Conference school.

Five are headed to Division I schools: Bowling Green State University, Indiana University and Purdue University.

Three players – quarterback Caleb Watkins, wide receiver Nick McKnight and defensive back Jerry Gates – signed letters of intent Feb. 3 to play at Bowling Green State University.

Two others are headed to Indiana. Running back Antonio Banks is headed to Indiana University and defensive end Rashad Frazier signed with Purdue.

The other five Middies and their school of choice are:

Sam Current, Western Illinois University; Kevin Watts, Youngstown State; Eric Redding, St. Joseph’s College; Sandon Fingers, and Aaron Lewis, Cambellsville College.
