I live close to this house and can attest to how much work the owners put into the house the last couple of summers. The guy totally redid the outside of the house, replacing the stucco siding with a cement composite. Put in all new windows. He tore out the old deck and built a new one. He took his time and did a nice job. Not a bad price for the neighborhood and for all the work that he did.

Ms. Chasteen- saw the moving van in front of 4810 Rosedale the other day when I came home from work. I live behind them and didn't get a chance to say goodbye to Ed and his wife. Did they relocate locally or go out of state? Gonna miss talking to him over the backyard fence about his convertibles he had (red and yellow Olds, I believe)

Ms. Chasteen.....I checked on this real estate transaction on the Butler County Auditor's site the other day. The buyer of this property is Cynthia R Henry and it was purchased by her for $143,000. I have a feeling she doesn't live here. The people moved into the house last Saturday and just got around to cutting the grass last night. It looks like a hay field. The backyard abutes to my back yard and it ain't a pretty sight. There are two small children, two teenage boys, a younger female in her late 20's and a man, probably in his late 30's or 40ish. From all indications, and a "gut feeling" from me (no proof as yet), this home looks like a rental or possibly a Section 8, bought by C. Henry. From what I've seen so far, we may have some problems in the "upkeep" department from this house. In just a short time, it sticks out like a sore thumb when compared to the surrounding neighborhood. I hope none of this is true. If it is, the city can be expecting many calls from me(and others over time) as I plan on irritating them as much as possible. The property upkeep is simply unacceptable at this time.

Bottom line...Do you know if Cynthia Henry is a Section 8 landlord and is this a Section 8 property? I realize you have no reason to answer, but to be fair to the surrounding homeowners, don't we have a right to know since it may drive our home values down even further and the fact that we have a right to protect our property from this Section 8 blight?

VietVet-

I understand your concern, I'm sorry to hear about your disappointment, however to be fair I think you should give the buyers a little more time to get settled before you get too upset. The buyer is employed and not Section 8. To my understanding is also working a lot. Moving is tough, escpecially with young children and teens.

Maybe there was a little lack of maintenance before the home sold( due to seller Out of State) which has
contributed to the state it is in now?

I suggest you introduce yourself to Cynthia, you will find she is a good person.Smile
She is probably still trying to get organized inside the home. If you have any further concerns feel free to call me.

Thank you Ms. Chasteen for your reply. It is a great relief to know the people do not fit the Section 8 profile. I will follow your recommendation and give the family more time to get settled before going to the proper authorities.
