Here is what City Manager Judy Gillenland had to say about the Breiel Boulevard Project.
We will be bringing a change order to City Council in December 1st for approximately $90,000 for the Breiel Blvd Project as well. The additional cost was incurred due to additional catch basin repairs, larger water services at various locations, and primarily some needed subgrade repairs (including cement stabilization north of Nelson). Approximately $20,000 will come from the utility funds and these funds are currently available. The remaining $70,000 will require a supplemental appropriation from the CIP.
The road is open and looks beautiful – and smooth! The remaining items include a traffic pole and associated median concrete which may not be completed until mid December due to delivery dates.
