Today marks the close of the interviews with city council candidates; we would like to take this opportunity to thank all those that took part in the interview. To their credit not a single candidate turned down our request for an interview. This process has sparked great debate here on the forums and has been instrumental in bringing new members to the site and raising the level of awareness about our community. Again we would like to thank all the candidates for taking part.

For those of you who may not be familiar with our site our goal in all this has been to encourage city leaders to join and expand the lines of communication between our elected officials and our readers. At times this has been a great success and others not so much.

I want to remind our readers those that did come to MiddletownUSA.com and post comments to questions and pose new questions of their own are to be commended. It was our privilege to have them here, and I would like to ask our readers to keep in mind that they are our guest, and even though you may not agree with all that a candidate may have said they do deserve our respect.

Again thank you to all of our members and to all the candidates,
Randy Lewis

 PS,
I have an upcoming interview with a school board candidate, I think you will enjoy.

Randy,
And thanks to you for your efforts to inform Middletonians, foster communication between citizens and City Hall, and provide a forum for candidates for local political offices (whether they choose to use it or not).

The elitists may not agree, but the majority of regular users of this forum are informed, sincere, intelligent folks who care about their community, and also are just plain GOOD people!

You are helping to raise the collective conscienceness of our city!  It IS appreciated!!!
