I thought this was to be a collection of stories of old Middletown. However this seems to be a Planning & Revitalization session for the City of Middletown and “their downtown area.” Anyone planning on attending this meeting?
Story By: Randy Lewis
At 5:30 pm on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Miami University Middletown branch located at 4 N Main St, the public is invited to join with Miami Graduate Student Leah DePriest and others to discuss the future of downtown Middletown and the ideas submitted by residents at one or more of a series of forums.
It is free to attend the forum and is a perfect opportunity for the citizens of Middletown to discuss what they would like to see happen to the downtown area. If you are unable to attend Thursday’s forum meeting you can submit your stories or ideas about downtown Middletown to downtownstories@gmail.com.
Middletown’s Community Revitalization Department is responsible for assisting residents and businesses in following the laws and ordinances of the city pertaining to maintaining properties, safe construction, and reclamation of brownfields and quality-of-life assets of the community. The Director of the Community Revitalization Department is Doug Adkins, it is unclear whether he will attend the forum.
