Middletown Schools is now required by the state of ohio to conduct safety drills including Lock Down drills aimed at reducing the Terrorist threat to our school children.

With Columbine and other school shootings, the terrorists are among us. Having the added threat that someone from another country would want to do our children harm really calls to reason such a mandate by the state.

To prove the state is serious, fines for don't performing such drills have risen from just a few dollars to a flat $1000 per missing drill.
