   The Neighborhood Housing Services did not renew their lease on Central Ave. and is moving to the Maple Park area in one of their houses they couldn't sell on Webber St. The Journal article also states that the people who qualify for first time ownership, receive financial aid of $6000 from Middletown and $10,000 from Hamilton. A post to that story(Jennifer) says the agency helped her get her home in New Miami. Does this mean that the $6000 she received from Middletown (or Hamilton) helped her buy a home in another town? If so, why is Middletown (or Hamilton) giving money to people to locate in another town? What does Middletown (Hamilton) get out of this beside one less vacant home unoccupied in Middletown and no property tax revenue either. Anybody?

	Viet Vet - HUD money that the City of Middletown receives and allocates for Down Payment/Closing Cost Assistance is (at least it was under me) limited to the purchase of homes strictly within the city limits. Please be advised that the City of Hamilton and Butler County government have a working relationship with Neighborhood Housing Services. I can only presume that the New Miami purchaser received funds from Butler County. By the way, under my administration we took over control of the Down Payment/Closing Cost Assistance Program from NHS at the beginning of 2008. Each and every month I sent lists of homeowners assisted to the now-defunct HUD Consolidated Planning Committee, Mr. ED RICHTER, and to interested City Council members. I also sent this information to HUD Columbus Field Office. There was complete openess that, sadly, is no longer in existence. Nelson Self

	Proposed Webber Street Business Office Violates Middletown's Zoning Ordinance?? A prominent and well-informed local real estate professional informed me today that the proposed relocation of the Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) offices to their unsold model on Webber Street would be a violation of the Middletown Zoning Ordinance. He indicated that this was a low-density residential zoned area and that non-profit businesses like NHS, despite their good works, would be a violation. Is the above true? Inquiring minds want to know? By the way, over $750,000 in HUD funds was "sunk" into the MAPLE PORK SUBDIVISION under the guidance of you know who!
