I'm not sure how many people in this forum have even heard of pickleball, but Middletown has quietly become the best place in Ohio, probably the Midwest, to play pickleball. Over the last several years the 6 tennis courts at Lefferson Park have been converted from crumbling, unused tennis courts to 18 beautiful pickleball courts that see a LOT of daily use. Middletown Pickleball Association has spent about $30,000 this year alone in improvements to Lefferson Park. Every dime of this money came from members of MPA. No city money has been used. They offer free lessons every Wednesday evening at 6 PM to anyone that shows up. I encourage everyone to check out the fastest growing sport in the country and to see what a gem of a facility we have right here in Middletown.
