Perfect Middie season, 10 - 0.
The Middies have achieved their first perfect season with a 10-0 record since 1934. The Middies will host a first-round playoff game at Barnitz on Saturday. Congratulations on capturing the GMC championship!

Co-champs with Colerain. Now, Coach Ronai needs to kick the basketball program in gear and bring that sport up to where it use to be also. Coach Krause has set the bar high and the kids and the community are responding. Big + for the town and some good news for a change.

co-champs with Colerain(who is a beast--not looking forward to meeting them).
Wonderful season--super job by Coach Krauss, his staff and a very committed team of young men.
Every team in this playoff district is outstanding and well-matched vs.anyone
Dayton Wayne(our first opponant) will be a handful.
They feature the top qb in the state(headed to Ohio State), a super wr who reminds me of Terrell Owens in size and how he runs his routes, and a big/tough rb. We will have to be at our best on both sides of the ball.
D must play agressive as always, but with more disciplined(avoiding over-pursuit). Cannot let this wr be single-covered and fronted(double teamed-big db in front--smaller fast db behind). He will get behind the dbs and can break tackles.
Go to it Middies--you can win this game!

Nice season for the men in purple. A great accomplishment and has brought seldom seen excitement to the community. Now, with that said, in 1991, we reached the playoffs. Played Moeller down at Lakota and beat them 14-10. Next week, after some controversy about some in-eligible player being used late in the season with Middletown firmly in control of the game, we were beaten badly by Princeton in the second round. Fast forward to 2009. Went to the playoffs. Played Moeller again in the first round and beat them easily. Lost again in the second round to Anderson. Forward to this year. Once again we are in the playoffs. This time beaten by a good defensive team and mediocre offensive team- Wayne. We are developing a trend here. We are good enough to make it into the playoffs occasionally, but are not good enough to advance to the semi-final rung of the playoff ladder. Never have come close.
Looks like Coach Krause has the formula to get the team into the playoffs. Now, he needs to focus his goals on getting them past the first round. Overall, a good coach worth keeping IMO. |
