Middletown. A new fresh candidate for the 53'd District, J.C Shew kicked off
his campaign today in his law offices in Middletown Ohio. Surrounded by friends,
family and supporters , it was easy to detect the mood of change and the optimism for
the success of Shew's Democatic campaign.
In a few short remarks,confirming his candidacy, J. C.Shew emphasized his goal to
get state laws in line with the what the 53'd district constituents wants and needs. His
platform emphasizes
 
-jobs through support for small business and manufacturing companies,
 
- overall improvement of the Ohio educational system
 
- initiating the fufure of Ohio through advanced energy initiatives,
like wind and solar power which also brings more jobs for Ohioans.. 
 
"The mood of today's voters," J.C. Pointed out, " seems to be changing;
enthusiasm for replacement of incumbents and reducing the cost and size of
goverulment, head the lists. It is time for change and we can do it together.
I will lead those efforts in Columbus, once I am elected.
 
I have been proud to serve the common man itr *y law practice for years and I
will translate that to my efforts in the state house."
 
The 53'd District covers many cities and towns in western Butler County, J.C.
Shew stated he will walk the streets of these locations and listen to what the voters want
him to do for them as their elected representative.
 
"I am seeking election based on what needs to be done for the 53'd District
and the State of Ohio. I look forward to talking to anyone and everyone; to hear you
ideas and listen to your expectations. I plan to meet as many of the 53'd district residents
as is possible between now and the November election."
 
J. C. Shew has been a practicing lawyer, representing the common man for 34
years and a small business owner in Butler County since 1980. He has served the
community as an, assistant prosecutor and high school teacher . He is also
active in l0 community otgarrrzations and his church choir.
 
J.C. and his wife Anita have three children and seven grandchildren.

JC Shew AIN'T no "new and fresh" candidate for the 53rd District. JC has run more times than that farmer up north did for a political position. He's been recycled so much, Rumpke won't even take him anymore. Doesn't mean he doesn't have good ideas- just means we've heard this skip in the old record before. His election would give the local area a Middletown rep for a change though.
