My son Scott has a Dell 6500 laptop. Today, he tells me that the screen looks like it has been "stepped on" (not physically) but the screen display looks like it is cracked or fractured. Any idea whether this is salvageable? Can he have a new monitor put on the laptop or would it be too cost prohibitive to do and better to buy a new laptop? Is it something internally with the computer itself? Please advise. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Vet, I am sorry to say that your son will need a new laptop, the screen is rather expensive to replace. I am not sure what or how this happened. As some form of pressure has been placed on the screen. But your best bet is to buy a new laptop. If your interestd you can give me a call and I can tell you about some of the Dell's we have here and it could save you a money. Oh and GO BENGALS.
