Wondering Out Loud............... Several of these mainstays like Pacman and ImpalaSS have passed away. Others like Acclaro simply moved away in frustration. There's Vivian Moon and Whistlersmom who've grown weary of the inability/unwillingness of city council to provide reasonable oversight of senior staff"s questionable projects, dubious donations of city-owned real estate, sizable direct cash grants, a multitude of tax breaks, multi-millions seemingly wasted, plus the dismantling of portions of the former second ward residential areas. In some unfortunate respects, the future of Middletown remains uncertain. However, there's still opportunities to kindle private-sector reinvestment. That task is much more difficult now as previously available public-sector housing and community development resources are now gone. Everyone past/present needs to thank John Beagle, etc. for providing a local sounding board unlike that of the sanitized Middletown Journal-News and City of Middletown slanted news releases. Thank you John.

Most of the long-time regular posters have periodically thanked John, and his team, for providing this last bastion of free speech in Middletown.
