This is a positive step for the Middletown schools. I applaud Price and the staff for trying this new program. Now, what about reading, English, and all of the other categories on the proficiencies where we are lacking? Couldn't we step those up at the same time? Why just math? That subject is not the only area where we are weak. Beside adding more class time and instructors, did they consider HOW the subjects were taught? I would suspect the teaching METHOD would affect the student's ability to understand also.
