Don't forget about Josh Laubach, we've got to reelect him along with Anita. Is he running again? |

I think a lot of people in Middletown could care less about what is going on in this City as long as it doesn't interfere with thier section eight, food stamps, free medical care or all day/night cook outs and drunkfests.

To summarize: The three at-large seats are up for grabs this November: Lawrence “not for mayor” Mulligan has announced that he will seek reelection for mayor. Neither Bill Becker nor Anita Scott-Jones have announced plans regarding their at-large seats, although there are published reports that Becker will be accepting the Deerfield Township Administrator position on August 1, which would be incompatible with being a councilman in another city. Mr. Eddie Todd Moore of Wilbraham Road has filed his petitions to run for an at-large seat, and Dan Picard of Sherman Avenue has pulled petitions to run for an at-large seat but has not yet filed. The Ward seats have over two years remaining on their terms (they expire on 12/31/2013). They are currently held by Tom Allen-Ward One, A. J. Smith-Ward Two, Josh Laubach-Ward Three, and Dan Picard-Ward Four. However, Mr. Allen’s Ward One position is an “appointment” to the Late Jim Armbruster’s seat and that seat is therefore also up for grabs this November. Mr. Allen has not announced his intentions regarding the November election, but he has not pulled petitions to date. (Unlike Mr. Picard, neither Mr. Laubach nor Mr. Smith have pulled petitions to run for an at-large seat while they still have over two years remaing on their Ward seats!!!) |

Mr. P I will go out on a limb and say Mr. Allen will not run.
