    Armbruster, Marconi announce re-election bids

The filing deadline isn't until August and elections won't take place until November, but two members of Middletown City Council already announced they are going to seek re-election in 2009. Vice Mayor Jim Armbruster, who represents the city's 1st Ward; and 3rd Ward Councilman Tony Marconi both announced at City Council's Tuesday, Feb. 3, meeting they would be seeking their second four-year-terms.

Both councilmen were elected in 2005, along with 4th Ward Councilman David Schiavone.

After the meeting, Schiavone, who is completing the final year of his fourth term on council, said he was undecided.

"I didn't realize that today was the day we had to decide," Schiavone said with a laugh.

I guess "Honest Dave" just can't make up his mind!!!  Perhaps if a COUNTY job opens up, he will state that he will NOT run for CITY council again!
