CALLER: Okay. I'm really scared because my friend told me that since I'll be 14 in March that they would have to tell my parents. But my boyfriend's 22. Could he just sign whatever that is, and they wouldn't have to tell anybody?

CLINIC: You really need to call this number and talk to them, and ask them about that. I don't know. I have somebody else here that can talk to who might know a little bit more. Could you hold for just a minute?

CLINIC: They do have to notify your parents, one of your parents. They don't have to get their consent; they just have to talk to them on the phone.

CALLER: Is there any way not to tell my parents? Well, if they found out I don't know what would happen.

CLINIC: You got the number to Cincinnati?

CALLER: Yeah.

CLINIC: You just need to call them, and they can talk to you about what to do. Because we don't deal with that here.

CALLER: Oh, okay.

CLINIC: Okay?

CALLER: Well, could I come in there for a pregnancy test then?

CLINIC: You're not sure that you're pregnant?

CALLER: No, I'm just really scared because my last period was December 14th.

CLINIC: Yes, you can come here. It would cost $6.

CALLER: Okay. Well, would you have to tell anybody I was there for that?

CLINIC: No, no.

CALLER: Oh, okay. Well, I would really want my boyfriend to be there with me. Would that be all right?

CLINIC: He wouldn't be able to come back with you, and we have to just take you back by yourself. He could come in and sit in the waiting room.

CALLER: He's just worried that you guys would ask a lot of questions. Would you ask anything?

CLINIC: Well, no.

CALLER: Or have him sign anything?

CLINIC: No. No, not at all.

CALLER: Oh, okay. If it turned out that I wasn't pregnant, could I get birth control there? It's just I don't want to have to worry about all this again.

CLINIC: Yeah, right, definitely. Do you live with him or not?

CALLER: No, I live with my parents.

CLINIC: Okay. Yeah, we can do that for you.

CALLER: Okay.

CLINIC: You can come in. If you want to come in today you can.

CALLER: Well, I'd have to call him and see. But are you guys open next week?

CLINIC: Yeah. We're just open until 2 today. You wouldn't need an appointment if you just want to come in for a pregnancy test. You can come in Monday anytime from 9 to 4, or Tuesday anytime from 12 to 6.

CALLER: Okay. Well, I'm not able to drive because I'm not old enough. But is it all right if my boyfriend picks up the pills after everything?

CLINIC: Yeah, as long as we -- that's down the road though. After we find out if you're pregnant or not.

CALLER: But he'd be able to pick them up and that would be all right?

CLINIC: Um-hmm.

CALLER: And you guys wouldn't have to tell anybody that I was on birth control or anything?

CLINIC: Right.

CALLER: All right. Okay. Thanks.

CLINIC: All right. Bye bye.

As for the daughter/girl she would get cut off from the modern world and be under more restrictions than a prison inmate.

I had to come back and re-read this transcript,someone explain to me what they were busted for ?

 

Other than the fact the 22 year old BF should have been reported to the police the transcript sounds more like it was a "sting" of some sort. Did this phone call come from the same family that filed suit against the schools over the T-shirt ordeal ?

She may have been statutorily raped, rather than find out one way or the other they were willing to cover it up.

Every day undercover officers agree to buy and sell drugs and other illegal activites.  Doesn't mean they are going to do them. 

I don't think it matters what she agreed to do over the phone.  The girl needed to come in for an evaluation and possible treatment.  If the girl thought the nurse was going to turn her and her boyfriend in, she would have never come in. 

It's just more stupid propaganda to fuel anti-PP rhetoric. Did they expect the person at PP to say, "No, what you are wanting is bad and your boyfriend is a rapist, now please tell me your name and number and let me talk to your mommy."

Apparantly Planned Parenthood is busted for explaining the services they do and do not offer to an anonymous (and as it turns out, completely fake) caller. The horror! I am shocked that PP did not immediately call MPD and report that an anonymous caller claimed they were an underage pregnant girl with an overage boyfriend and gave out no contact information.

Who would have thought that a place dealing with medical issues would be worried about confidentiality? It's almost like there was a law or something...
